We are a network of eight associations and town twinning committees from different European towns working together to promote the values and principles of the European Union. Our main goal is to foster a sense of community, friendship, and mutual understanding among citizens from different countries, thereby contributing to social and civic cohesion across Europe.
Our organisations carry out cultural exchange programmes, civic engagement initiatives, and joint projects that encourage active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and cooperation between partner towns. Through these activities, we create opportunities for citizens to engage in dialogue and participate in common initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity while reinforcing a shared European identity.
The network is characterised by a strong grassroots approach and genuine citizen involvement, which helps make European cooperation more tangible at the local level. Through these collaborative activities, we support local identity while contributing to the broader objective of a cohesive and harmonious Europe.
A twinning is the coming together of two communities seeking, in this way, to take action with a European perspective and with the aim of facing their problems and developing between themselves closer and closer ties of friendship
